The overarching goals of the Global Armenian Summit is to strengthen both the Republic of Armenia and the global Armenian Diaspora by defining and institutionalizing mutually beneficial policies and programs, and by creating innovative and efficient institutional frameworks through which to strengthen and expand the relationship between Armenia and Diaspora. The summit will provide Armenia and the Diaspora the opportunity to identify priorities, define new approaches to our common pan-Armenian agenda and develop a strategic roadmap for future cooperation. The proposals, solutions, and results achieved at the summit will serve as the cornerstone for developing the Republic of Armenia’s Armenia-Diaspora strategy.
The purposes of the Global Armenian Summit encompass the following:

To define the priority areas as it relates to Armenia-Diaspora relations

To define the roles and responsibilities of the Armenian state vis-a-vis the global Armenian Diaspora and vice versa

To set out a roadmap for Armenia-Diaspora relations

To create and institutionalize processes and programs through which the state may engage with the global Armenian Diaspora and the Diaspora may engage with the state

To memorialize the proposals, solutions, and results achieved at the summit within an Armenia-Diaspora strategy document to be adopted by the Republic of Armenia government
