The second Breakout Session titled “Diaspora Support for Strengthening Armenia’s Security” took place this afternoon. It was moderated by Nerses Kopalyan, Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The latter addressed questions to political scientist and Director of Armenia Peace Initiative, Taline Papazian, historian and former William Saroyan Director of the Armenian Studies Program at U.C. Berkeley, Stephan H. Astourian, Professor of Mechanical Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Naira Hovakimyan, and international lawyer Karnig Kerkonian.
They talked about current and potential projects to support diaspora organizations in enhancing the country's security.
